visit to La Boca, in the south of the Federal District -- the Riachuelo (that has over the last century and a half become the most polluted river in Latin America) alerts visitors ten blocks away with its putrid smell

the community was organizing itself to set up a radio station, and the meeting took place in the courtyard of a recently finished house (as far as structural skeleton and brick infill are concerned)
